Planning and Consultation

If you are seeking guidance for yourself or a loved one about how to plan for palliative or end-of-life care, I can help you. Managing a diagnosis of a serious illness involves coping with emotions as well as with practical needs. I’m committed to a brief consultation model, assisting you to access the services to which you’re entitled, which often will be covered by your insurance.

  • Understand more about palliative care and hospice and when these services might best assist you.

  • Strategize for how to get the most out of your conversations with your healthcare providers.

  • Learn how to complete an advance directive such as a living will that is consistent with your wishes and values.

  • Want help talking with your family or physician about planning for the future? Let’s explore that option together.

Care Consultation services: $150/hour

Workshops

I’m also available to facilitate workshops covering these topics for your organization. This information can be valuable for healthcare workers, faith communities, senior centers, civic organizations, college and university communities, and any others who want to learn more about how to keep their voice in their future.

  • In-Person Services

I offer in-person services in my office at Whitemarsh Learning Center in Fort Washington, PA. On the grounds of St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, the office has ample, free parking and is accessible.

I am fully vaccinated. However, if you prefer to wear a mask during in-person visits, I will gladly honor your request. The St. Thomas’ grounds also provide ample opportunity for meeting privately outdoors should you prefer to meet outside, weather permitting.

  • Online Services

If your comfort level, location, or schedule makes meeting in-person difficult, we can meet online via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video connection. Participate in care coordination and planning with me from anywhere in Pennsylvania.

Prior to our first meeting, I will email you a link to your virtual “waiting room.” A few minutes prior to each session, you will clink on this link and wait until I begin the session. No need to download any programs - just click on a link to start.
